The vision of the Petoskey United Methodist Church is
"Christ-centered maturity for every individual." Picture a mature tree: it first
starts its journey of life as a seed planted in the ground. Then it is watered and
nourished and even pruned to grow in health. And finally it reaches a stage where it bears
fruit in maturity, making it possible for new seeds to be planted and new life to grow. So
it with all of us! Therefore the Petoskey UMC offers many different ways that seeds of
faith are planted through outreach, personal growth is encouraged through fellowship and
study, and fruit is celebrated through service and leadership. Read on!

Church Dinners
True to long-standing tradition, the church family joins for a time of fun, food and
fellowship every Wednesday night during the school year at 6:00 p.m. The main entree is
prepared by different volunteers every week while everyone else brings a side-dish, salad
or dessert. Silverware, plates and cups are provided. Contributions of around $2 per
person help cover the entree costs, and - of course - every helping hand is welcome in
clean-up. Come join the family!

Prime Timers
If you are a retired person, then Prime Timers welcomes
you! We have reached the prime of our lives. We meet once a month for lunch and
make plans to go someplace special several times throughout the year. We also serve the
shut-ins and elderly in our church and community. For an updated schedule visit the
Classes and Events page.

Women of Grace
Retreat
Each fall the women of our church get together for renewal, refreshment and to
grow in the grace of Jesus Christ. These retreats are full of worship, guest
speakers, testimonies, small groups, and fellowship. All women of any church or
denomination are welcome to come.
United Methodist
Women
The United Methodist Women meet to glorify God and spread the Word. We gather in various
small group circles for fellowship and Bible study, and come together for regular
luncheons throughout the year. Our unique focus is missions, with monetary support going
toward various local and national projects. For updates on our upcoming meetings, please
call the church. Women of all ages and walks of life are welcome to join us. For
more information about the United Methodist Woman, visit
the international
