By Barb Fry It is always remarkable to me, that when we least want to do something, the Lord brings His word to us "loud and clear". For me, it was the night of the all church conference with the District Superintendent. I was so comfy at home. I did not want to go anywhere. Of course, God gave me a shove and away we went. We arrived a bit early, and as we were sitting in the sanctuary waiting, the normally, very brilliant stained-glass window over the alter, was dark. It was only tiny pieces of glass jumbled up together. There was no picture; no message. Isn’t that how we are from time to time? Our very mixed up lives are dark and scattered. It is at those times that our light cannot shine forth. We become so introverted and caught up in our own lives that we block God’s light from shining. We walk around with a frown, instead of a smile. When we allow God’s love to live in us, His light shines through every part of our life. It is totally reflective for all who see it. If our lives are dark with sin, our countenance, and every part of us are only a lot of little pieces that are undefined. The sunshine gives meaning to the stained glass window, but the "Son"shine gives meaning to our lives.
