December 27, 2007 By Judy Brummeler Luke 2: 1-19 Verse 19: "But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart." As I look outside the beginning of the song White Christmas comes to mind, "The sun is shining, the grass is green" (in places). It is a beautiful winter day. Christmas is past and the New Year awaits us. The hustle and bustle of the season is winding down and I take time to contemplate Christ’s birth and His significance to me. Christ is my savior. He is the symbol of love, peace, and grace. What opportunities can I take to make a difference in my knowledge, my faith, and my abilities to reach out to others? As I pray, I ask for God’s guidance in choosing the right opportunities for my personal growth. Our new brochure is out and I look forward to choosing a class or project that will help me meet that goal. How about you? Heavenly Father, we give you praise and thanksgiving for the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Guide us as we strengthen our relationships with others and with Christ. In Jesus’ name. Amen
