We Have a Purpose
What is our purpose?
As
a young boy my earth father was always trying to teach me. One statement he
would make was that I was not listening. Which made him even more determined
to get his point across to me. So, he kept talking and today it seems that
I, in fact, remember most everything he told me.
One of the statements that he made was, “You have got to have a purpose in
life.”
So, the question is, “What is our purpose?” “What are we trying to achieve?”
Here is what I am leading up to.
The questions we need to be asking and the prayers we need to be praying
are. “Why are we here?” “What is God’s purpose for us?” This
needs to be a continual ongoing process that needs to be taking place not
just on occasion but throughout the day, every day of the week, every month
on the year.
God
has work for us to do. Setting an example through out attitudes and ethics
at work. What we do when situations get out of control at home.
We
all have unique situations that we need to get through. We need to apply
Biblical principles to our circumstances and use the Holy Spirit’s guidance
to see us through our circumstances.
There is no other way through what we have to struggle with.
By using God’s precepts and principles we are not only getting through a
tough time but we are also building our character. Fulfilling God’s purpose
for our life, and setting an example for others to apply to their
circumstances that will draw them into a personal relationship with God’s
Son Jesus Christ.
So let us go forth as stewards of God’s great commission helping our family,
friends and co-workers to grow spiritually in The Name of The Father, Son
and Holy Spirit.
Amen
